Sean Comb better known as P. Diddy is a well known music producer, rapper, actor, dancer, clothing designer and entrepreneur. P. Diddy is known for his reality show Making the Band. This big time male artist has now introduced to the public a fragrance for men and woman called “Unforgivable”. Unforgivable for men fragrance was launched in 2005. It is set to target all men from to ages 18 to 35. It was created by perfumer David Apel. In the advertisement for Unforgivable for man P. Diddy is sitting and surrounded by two young and beautiful woman.

On the other hand Unforgivable for woman was launched in 2007. Just like the male fragrance the woman fragrance was also created by David Apel. In the advertisement for Unforgivable for woman, there is a young beautiful woman up against a wall while the famous P. Diddy has his arm around her going in for a kiss to the neck. The slogan for Unforgivable men ad woman is as follows: “ Life without passion is unforgivable” The advertisements for Unforgivable definitely goes with the slogan.


The Unforgivable fragrances both men and woman advertisements are here for the public. They are there to catch young man and woman attention. Looking at the advertisement for men seems as though P. Diddy wants men to believe if they were to purchase this fragrance woman would be surrounding them. He is trying to persuade men in to thinking when they where this cologne the will have power woman would love them and they will be all over them with just one spray of Unforgivable. Unforgivable Woman fragrance advertisement would portray that if a woman were to purchase the fragrance they would feel sexy and no man could resist the smell of them. Men would be drooling over them. Both Unforgivable advertisement uses ethos and pathos to draw attention from the audience.


To establish the ethos of the Unforgivable advertisement Sean John uses his self (P.Diddy) and sexy models. Using his self in the advertisement would most likely draw more attention to the advertisement and would have people show more attention to the product. Those who are fans of P. Diddy would definitely show the most interest in the product and will support.

The advertisements conveys pathos a lot in both advertisement. In the advertisement for men it shows one man with woman surrounding meaning that the cologne will attract attention from beautiful woman. The advertisement for woman show that the perfume would make a man want to be all over them. It would make a man want to trap their woman in their arms and just kiss them gently.

Rather or not the advertisements for Unforgivable men and woman worked depends on the selling’s of the fragrance. The advertisements started in 2005. Then there were commercials. Some of the commercials were banned. That did not stop customers from buying the fragrance. You will probably always here about the Unforgivable rather its from word of mouth, commercials, or advertisements. This fragrance will most likely sale.
